When it comes to hitting belligerently far dingers, Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge is evidently the judge, jury, and executioner. Just watch him in the batting cage! Most recently a top prospect in the Pinstripes minor league system drafted out of Fresno State with the 32nd pick in the 2013 MLB Draft, the 6-foot-7 mammoth of a slugger with 280-ish pounds of might has finally reached the Major League stage following somewhat of a dichotomous minor league career.
In three minor league seasons, Judge hit .278 with 56 home runs and a .845 OPS. To counter his swatting prowess and potential, he naturally struck out 373 times in 348 games. The power and promise is there, but time will tell whether Judge’s strikeouts will be truly admissible. We can put up with the 15 Ks in 14 games as long as Judge is convicting baseballs like he did the other night..

But even when he’s not hammering baseballs over the fence with his enormous gavel, Aaron Judge is obliterating their hopes and dreams with record mile-per-hour line drives. See here..

Some will say he looks like handsome squidward, but there’s more going on here.
With another home run tonight, Aaron Judge looks like he’s ready for prime time. Can he adjust to pitchers adjusting to him in the future? We’ll see.
In the meantime, let’s just enjoy the power surge and that hagenormous swing.
