While everyone is running around screaming about NFL Week 3 and Devonta Freeman defecating all over fantasy football expectations, there’s a ton of exciting MLB playoff races going down.
However, while we’re on the Week 3 topic, how about Devonta Freeman far surpassing what we expected of the talented yet inexperienced back. Quick feet and relentless pursuit of the endzone will keep Devonta Freeman scoring as long as he’s getting touches.
But briefly back to Alex Rodriguez – A.Rod – who at the dead-end age of 40 is hitting a typical .252 with an unexpected 32 homeruns. Rodriguez even hit his 661st homerun to move past Willie Mays into fourth place on baseball’s all-time list. The former smasher-turned-nemesis, however, is hitting .185 with eight homers and 24 RBIs in 51 games since Aug. 1.

Here’s a crazy stat of the day, courtesy of @SportsCenter – Derrick Rose has missed 103 games in the last 2 seasons. Tim Duncan has missed 97 games in his 18-season career.
