As the first pick of the expansion Houston Texans back in 2002, Fresno State hurler David Carr never really had a shot to succeed in the NFL. 76 history-breaking sacks later, in just his rookie season, it was clear the Texans’ patchwork offensive line was going to hinder this talented young man’s career – this included 21 fumbles, seven of which were lost (actually not bad).
But through it all, the hard-nosed baller stayed alive to play another day and never complained. Perhaps he was the hero Houston needed, but no longer the one they deserve. We’re sold that he is in fact “Metallicarr.”
