Meet Javier Baez. Once a super prospect flooding the Chicago Cubs’ farm system with his contagious talent, the slick infielder can now be seen mashing Major League baseballs half the time, striking out the other half of the time, and making sensational other-worldly defensive stops.
First, the mashing, which is something Baez can’t seem to avoid. When he clicks, the ball explodes into another time period faster than Marty McFly..
But while he can bomb-slug with the best – at 6 feet tall no less – the 23-year-old is garnering significant attention for his fastest-hands-in-the-Midwest tagging ability.
Guy looks like Quick Draw McGraw out there.
Or better yet, fastest hands in the world guy..
Long story short, Javy – who still sports possibly the most epic tattoo in professional baseball – can play ball.. with OR without a ball in his hand as seen below.
More to come, as the Cubs prepare for a matchup with the equally hungry Dodgers in the 2016 NLCS – 1988 vs. 1908.
