If you look closely, you’ll see that not only is dry comedy genius Larry David doing his best Muhammad Ali impression, but he’s also in the crowd as two photographers and another smiling patron.
Is it too much Larry? Perhaps.
Is it necessary and inspired by the Where’s Waldo books? Perhaps.
Are we losing our minds in this optical-yet-not-optical illusion? Absolutely.
But I can tell you that seeing Larry knock out opponents like this isn’t so weird – in fact it’s pretty on par with what we see normally on Curb Your Enthusiasm, except completely the opposite. On the show, he uses social awkwardness and a general lack of concern for anyone else as a reason to destroy opponents. Here he’s simply knocking them out.
Either way works.
