Stephen Piscotty Had A Very Rough Night

(Last Updated On: April 7, 2017)

Last night’s 2-1 loss to the Chicago Cubs was a rough one for Stephen Piscotty. On first after getting plunked in the right elbow with a pitch, the St. Louis Cardinals outfielder soon found himself skipping to second base on a wild pitch, but not before being shattered on the left elbow by a throw from catcher Willson Contreras. Next was a Kolten Wong nubber squaring past Arrieta for an infield hit, during which Piscotty dashed from second and scored. But, of course not before the throw from Baez nailed the left side of Piscotty’s helmet as he was sliding.

While we wish Stephen the best as he recovers from a reported head contusion, we also thank him and (@RT_Ohio) for showing us why Stephen Piscotty is temporarily fictional goalkeeper Scott Sterling.

Update (3:16 p.m.): Stephen Piscotty has cleared concussion protocol, reports ESPN.
