Poor Tom Savage just can’t catch a break.. or a receiver in stride. After the quarterback-by-default led the Houston Texans to their seventh loss by turning the football over three times, he courageously stepped to the podium for what one expected would be an excruciating question-filled presser.

The end. Quite the emotional beating for Savage, who at that point had already dealt with Willie Henry likely telling him he was as effective as organic compost.

Those who believe Savage left due to anger or frustration should know that he was a consummate professional with reporters in the locker room, conducting interviews and not tossing pottery. To quote Savage directly..
“I’m really frustrated, to be honest with you. “There’s really no words for it. I don’t want to go out there and throw picks. That’s not my goal. I underthrew C.J. on the center route. It’s called the NFL. You’re not going to win games turning the ball over.”
Tom Savage finished the year’s most useless Monday Night Football disaster with 252 yards, no touchdowns, two interceptions, and one strip-sack. Bill O’Brien was less than thrilled.
